Enoshima Aquarium
Fujisawa, Kanagawa
Address: 2-19-1 Katase Kaigan, Fujisawa, Kanagawa, Japan
Enoshima Aquarium sits on Katase Beach in Fujisawa and is as well known for its setting as for its exhibits, with views toward Sagami Bay, Mt. Fuji, and Enoshima. Its 'Jellyfish Fantasy Hall' arranges 13 tanks of different sizes plus the spherical 'Jellyfish Planet' inside a semi-dome space, with around 14 jellyfish species on display at all times. The dolphin show stadium overlooking the sea and the sandy sea turtle area reinforce the aquarium's distinctly Shonan atmosphere.
