Marine World Uminonakamichi

Fukuoka, Fukuoka

Address: 18-28 Saitozaki, Higashi-ku, Fukuoka, Fukuoka, Japan

Marine World Uminonakamichi stands on the sea-lined Uminonakamichi peninsula in Fukuoka and is one of the region's signature large aquariums. Its exhibits are structured around the seas connected to Kyushu, with standout areas including the large open-ocean tank and the outdoor Kaiju Island. The dolphin and sea lion show in the outdoor show pool is a major draw, and the seaside setting gives the whole visit a stronger resort-like atmosphere than a typical city aquarium.
