Located in Shibetsu Town, eastern Hokkaido, Shibetsu Salmon Science Museum is a salmon-focused museum and aquarium that makes sense as a worthwhile stop on a Shiretoko or Nemuro itinerary. Home to 18 species and more than 30 kinds of salmonids, it follows salmon from birth to spawning while also introducing the local salmon culture that defines Shibetsu.
