Toba Aquarium is a major seaside aquarium in Mie Prefecture with one of the broadest living collections in Japan. It is best known for Japan's only dugong display, but the appeal goes well beyond that, with around 1,200 species, a sea lion show, walrus encounters, and a large free-route layout of 12 zones that can easily fill most of a day.
